Upscale casual, built one neighborhood at a time.
Founded by the McKenney family, The Half Wall started as a single tap room in DeLand and grew into two Central Florida gathering places — without losing the parts that made the first one work.
Your favorite local neighborhood restaurant.
The Half Wall opened in DeLand in February 2014 with a simple idea: build the beer program like it's the main event, and build the kitchen good enough to keep up with it. That meant brewing our own house beers — and then figuring out how to cook with them, not just pour them. Beer batter, beer cheese, beer-braised ribs — the tap wall shows up on the plate as much as it does in the glass.
What started as one DeLand storefront has grown into two houses across Central Florida — up to 76 craft beers on tap and a variety of bottled beer at every location. Each one is built around the same standard: a serious beer program, a kitchen that treats comfort food like it matters, 23+ HD TVs with every DirecTV sports package, and a room that feels like it's been your neighborhood spot for years — even on your first visit.
The values behind every location
Brew It Ourselves
Our house beers aren’t a side project — they’re woven into the food menu, from beer-battered fish to beer-braised ribs.
Hospitality First
We hire for warmth and train for skill. Every guest should feel like a regular by their second visit.
Upscale, Never Stuffy
Exposed brick and reclaimed wood, plated food and a full tap wall — but you can wear whatever you want.
