Beer Pairings For Our Seafood Menu Items
We have a few seafood menu items that we’d like to recommend some beer pairings with. Here is a list of our items and what we suggest:
Ahi Tuna – Our seared ahi tuna served with soy sauce and wasabi pairs best with a lager due to its crisp, delicate flavor. Or if you like a more brisk hoppiness, a pilsner would also be suited well for ahi tuna.
Boom-Boom Shrimp or Scallops – If you try our grilled shrimp or scallops topped with cilantro and served with our spicy boom-boom dipping sauce, it pairs best with ales, lagers, and pilsners. Also, beer with hints of coconut are a favorite with this dish.
Fried Shrimp – Hand dipped in our beer batter and fried golden brown, our fried shrimp appetizer is served with a choice of cocktail sauce or mango chutney. We recommend a pale ale.
Mussels in Beer – Steamed in beer and topped with parmesan cheese, red chili flakes and parsley, this popular appetizer is best paired with a fruity and spicy beer, such as a Belgian ale or German Hefeweizen.
Mahi Sandwich – Served blackened or grilled on top of a brioche bun and topped with pineapple corn salsa, this local favorite goes best with a porter, brown ale, or stout to compliment the saltiness of the fish.
Fried Fish Sandwich – Our fried haddock sandwich is served on a brioche bun with lettuce, tomato, and onion. Best served with a pilsner lager or Belgian IPA.
Fish and Chips – This deep water fillet dipped in beer batter and fried golden brown goes best with a refreshing ale.
