Event Date: Wed, Sep 03, 2014 at 5:40PM

New Belgium Brewing Company is a craft brewery located in Fort Collins, Colorado. It was opened in 1991 by owners Jeff Lebesch and Kim Jordan. A brown dubbel with earthy undertones named Abbey and a well-balanced amber named Fat Tire were the company’s first beers. The brewery makes nine year-round beers and various seasonal and limited-edition beers. As of 2012, it was the third-largest craft brewery in the country and eighth-largest overall brewery in the United States. New Belgium Brewery also plans on opening another facility in Asheville, North Carolina in 2015. It will produce up to a half-million barrels of the brewery’s Fat Tire amber ale and 1554 black lager. The brewery emphasizes eco-friendly practices and employee ownership in its marketing materials.
